Care methods to practice during the rainy season
The rainy season brings continuous rain and high humidity.
Rain and humidity are the biggest enemies of leather products.
To ensure that you can enjoy your BONAVENTURA products for a long time,
we would like to introduce you to some tips on how to care for and deal with your products during the rainy season.

If it gets wet in the rain...
Try the following care steps.
1. If it gets wet, immediately wipe off the moisture gently with a dry, soft cloth.
2. Adjust the shape and dry slowly in a well-ventilated shade.
(In the case of bags, etc., fill the bag with filling to maintain its shape)
When your precious leather item gets wet, it's easy to panic.
However, hurrying it all at once is counterproductive to the leather.
Drying it too quickly using a hair dryer or desiccant can lead to shrinkage and hardening of the leather, which can lead to deformation and cracking.
Please wait patiently for the leather to dry naturally.
・Wet denim has transferred color...
1. Wipe with a soft cloth to remove dust.
Wipe gently to avoid damaging the leather.
2. Take a small amount of leather cleaner onto a soft cloth and gently wipe it off.
(Be sure to test it on an inconspicuous area before using it)
If the above does not come off, the dye may have soaked in and become fixed, and it may not be possible to remove it.

*Dyed colors are more likely to fade when they come into contact with moisture.
Please be especially careful on rainy or humid days.
・When I tried to use it after a long time, it was moldy...
Reasons for mold growth
1. It is said that the condition for mold growth is a humidity of 70-80% or more. If you keep it in a place with high humidity for a long time, mold will easily grow.
The ideal storage place is a shady place with good ventilation.
However, closets and cupboards tend to become humid, so you need to take measures to prevent humidity from becoming too high, such as opening the door to ventilate the room frequently, placing a dehumidifier designed specifically for closets, and creating a moderate amount of space to improve ventilation.
2. Temperature
Mold grows at temperatures between 20℃ and 30℃. If the temperature in the storage area remains at this temperature for a long time, mold will continue to grow.
3. Sources of Nutrition
Dust, dirt from hands, food residue, and leftover leather cream provide nutrients for mold and cause it to grow.
Make sure to clean the item thoroughly before storing it.
If mold does appear
If mold has just started to appear, you can remove it by wiping it with a damp cloth that has been wrung out tightly.
After wiping with water, wipe off the water with a dry cloth and dry the leather in a well-ventilated, shady area.
If the mold is severe, please contact customer support.
